Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here.

“Here” is a space cultivated for and with you.

I believe that within and around you is all you need to move through whatever you find yourself facing. I’d love to partner with you to create a space, in person and/or virtually, where you may (re)connect to a sense of safety and grounding, feel embodied and empowered to engage in the present while honoring your past, and build relational connections that support the life you desire.
About Me + Breathe Therapy and Wellness

Hi there, I’m Lexie!

Again, I’m so glad you’re here. I believe in the power of healing through relationships and that the experiences we’ve lived through can be a part of our stories while not defining the core of who we are or where and how we may move forward in life. I’m committed to approaching clients with genuine authenticity, nonjudgmental-ness and compassion and my hope is to reflect a mirror through which you may see yourself and others with the same qualities.
With a background in Social Work and Human Development & Family Studies, an ecological systems-lens and Attachment Theory orient my approach. These perspectives help me consider the interconnected, bidirectional nature of our ever-evolving existence with ourselves, our communities, and within time and space locally and globally while also inviting curiosity as to how our earliest experiences in relationships may impact present beliefs and behaviors. I strive to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet each individual and family where they are at while primarily utilizing principles and practices from Internal Family Systems, Child Parent Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Circle of Security Parenting. After years of supporting adults and families through the perinatal and early childhood periods and life transitions, I have found these modalities invite compassionate acknowledgment of our intersectional identities and intergenerational stories and catalyze healing and change for individuals, young children and relationships over time. My practice is grounded in being trauma-informed, client-centered, attachment-based, somatic-oriented, and culturally-humble. I welcome and work with folks of all identities.
Supporting adults and young children in strengthening capacities to support safe, regulated connection with their internal system and others is central in my practice. Naturally, I invite breathing and somatic exercises into sessions to promote grounding with the body's intrinsic healing processes of receiving what we need and letting go of what may be released. At the same time, I'm mindful that breathwork practices do not meet every client's needs, nor one client's needs in every situation. I help clients develop their own therapeutic toolkit to help manage their responses to emotions, stressors, challenging behaviors, grief, trauma, life changes, etc. This may involve exploring a variety of healthy coping skills as well as learning ways to wholeheartedly be with and nurture yourself and your relationships over time. At Breathe Therapy and Wellness, I hope to help nourish your connection to the present, support healing of the past you carry within and create space where you may (re)discover all that your future may hold. I'm grateful to be here to support you in your journey toward mental, emotional, and relational healing +
holistic well-being.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado and provide in-person and virtual therapy sessions.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space, is our power to choose our response. In our response, lies our growth and our freedom.”
- Viktor Frankl
There are so many stressors constantly asking for our time and attention. Finding a moment to breathe, think about what you feel and need, or fully participate in the present can feel near impossible. Add in the complexities of navigating relationships, pregnancy, parenting, work, school, grief and loss, life transitions, or mental health experiences and we can begin to feel disconnected from ourselves and the people and places we live in relationship with. Life can feel like it's passing by while we wonder if we're really living.

My hope is to hold time and space with you where things can slow down and healing can take place as you connect to your internal truths and learn to surrender things that no longer serve you.

You deserve to feel connected within yourself and in the relationships and communities around you. You deserve the chance to explore how and why you may tend to react in different situations and further, how you can learn to choose new ways to respond within the space between one moment and another. Growth and freedom are possible.

Good Faith Estimate

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

explore ways to parent the way you want to versus the way you may find yourself reacting in the moment with your child or how you were raised?
-
learn about infant/early childhood development and parenting skills to promote your children's healthy growth, development and attachment relationships?
-
support your child (0-5 years old) in learning safe, healthy ways to regulate their big emotions and behaviors?

Are you, or you + your partner, interested in support to…

-
navigate the journey to becoming pregnant?
-
heal and cope with perinatal/infant loss?
-
navigate pregnancy and/or postpartum mental health experiences?
-
(e.g., mood changes, anxiety, depression, grieving your life or relationship(s) prior to becoming a parent, learning how to integrate who you were before with who you are now)
-
-
learn new ways to cope with relational stress or life changes with your partner related to becoming parents or navigating parenthood together?
Whether you’re in a season of longing and/or worry, in the midst of mood changes, managing stress or overwhelm, or trying to adjust to new roles and responsibilities on your own or with your partner/family, my practice is here to support you in slowing down, distinguishing between then/there & here/now, and integrating the stories within you to help you and your little one(s) feel confident and capable to move through life together.

Individual Therapy
Supporting adults’ mental health, holistic well-being, and capacities to meaningfully connect with their lives and others through (re)discovering their sense of self and strengthening skills to effectively navigate stress, anxiety, depression, identity and life changes, relationship challenges, trauma and grief.

process who you’ve been, who you want to be, and/or who you find yourself identifying as now,

learn new ways of coping with daily stress or experiences of anxiety and/or depression,
-
process and explore how to live through and with grief,
-
build your sense of confidence and connection to worthiness in your authentic self,
-
learn ways of being in healthy relationships,
I would love to partner with you in cultivating a safe and intentional space where you may (re)connect to the center of who you are, experience healing, and feel empowered to move through daily life feeling grounded in yourself and able to more wholeheartedly engage with the world around you.

Child Parent Psychotherapy
Supporting parents and their child(ren) in processing traumatic life events and understanding the meaning behind a child’s behaviors through dyadic therapeutic treatment that promotes and utilizes the safety and security within the parent-child relationship to support a child’s healing, healthy development and well-being.
Are you a parent/caregiver wanting to...

-
support your child in processing and healing through a stressful or traumatic experience?
-
understand the meaning behind your child’s behaviors and expressions of emotions?
-
learn about how you and your child’s past experiences may impact the ways you each react to present situations?
-
help your child develop skills to acknowledge and regulate emotions and sensations in their bodies in safe and age-appropriate ways?
Supporting healing through healthy relationships is my passion, and this is paramount when working with caregivers and their little ones as our earliest learning and development occurs within the context of our relationship(s) with primary caregiver(s). If you are a caregiver of a little one navigating a stressful experience or big emotions and behaviors, my practice may be a supportive place for you. Please reach out and we can talk through if Child Parent Psychotherapy may be a good fit for you and your child.
